ABOUT
L.P PHYSIO

LP Physio is a private practice situated in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town in Durbanville. We believe the human body is perfectly designed and engineered to allow efficient movement to take place. Throughout life we sustain physical injuries, walk around with pain, undergo surgery, sit longer than we should and often regress in strength due to our busy lifestyles. Our aim is to help you reduce pain, restore function and optimise your movement once again so that you can live a productive and fulfilling life, using your body to the best of its biomechanical ability. We also have a special interest in cancer rehabilitation and lymphoedema.

Lomé Prinsloo: Registered Physiotherapist and Founder
&
FG-MLD Certified Lymphoedema Therapist

I completed my Body Arts and Science International (B.A.S.I) Pilates Certification in 2008 and qualified as a Pilates instructor. My background in ballet sparked my interest in human movement, leading me to focus on clients with physical impairments. This passion led me to study Physiotherapy, and I earned my BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy from the University of Stellenbosch in 2012.

After completing my community service at Karl Bremer Hospital, I gained extensive experience in private practice, focusing on neuro, orthopaedic, and medical/surgical rehabilitation. In 2016, I became a practice manager and founded Lomé Prinsloo Physiotherapy, where I also started teaching Movement Groups at Vredekloof Clinic for psychiatric in-patients.

In 2020, I opened LP Physio at the Cape Town Pain Clinic in Durbanville. My experience there deepened my focus on complex and chronic pain, and I developed a special interest in treating cancer patients and managing the side effects of cancer treatments. I am a certified Cancer Exercise Specialist® and a certified FG-MLD Lymphoedema Therapist.

I am committed to providing holistic care to each patient, whether they are recovering from cancer, managing chronic pain, or simply seeking help to improve their quality of life.

Stefanie Van Zyl: Registered Physiotherapist

I am a registered physiotherapist dedicated to understanding, helping, and empowering my patients. I take a holistic, person-centered approach and enjoy using hands-on therapy techniques, particularly in the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal conditions, with a focus on therapeutic movement, mental health, and wellness.

I completed my BSc Physiotherapy degree at the University of the Western Cape in 2020. During my community service year in the Eastern Cape, I learned that physiotherapy goes beyond physical therapy—it must consider the whole person, as every patient’s condition, experience, and expectations are unique. I then transitioned into private healthcare, gaining experience in various specialties, including hospital, rehabilitation, and multidisciplinary-based care. I also worked in the outpatient setting, specialising in neuromusculoskeletal conditions, Pilates, and exercise therapy.

In 2023, I returned to Cape Town and joined the LP Physio team. I assist in teaching Movement Groups at a psychiatric clinic and provide private consultations there. I also work at the outpatient practice in Durbanville in the mornings. I have completed the Cancer Exercise Specialist® certification and collaborate with Lomé in providing cancer rehabilitation care. I am committed to delivering quality, holistic treatment to all patients, supporting them on their journey to recovery and restoration, regardless of the diagnosis.
